Kraken Parent Payward Links With Singapore Gulf Bank for Round-the-Clock Settlement

Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has struck a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to deliver continuous, real-time settlement services to institutional digital asset clients across Asia and the Gulf region, the companies announced Sunday.
At the core of the arrangement is Payward's integration of SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's proprietary real-time clearing network. The connection allows eligible institutional clients to finalize transactions at any hour without waiting for traditional banking windows — a persistent friction point in cross-border digital asset trading.

As part of the broader agreement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime, Payward's institutional trading arm, as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. That move is expected to deepen the pool of tradable assets available through the bank's network and reinforce Kraken Prime's presence in two of the world's fastest-growing digital finance corridors.
The partnership reflects a wider industry push to close the gap between the always-on nature of crypto markets and the time-restricted infrastructure of conventional finance. Institutional players have long cited settlement delays and limited banking hours as barriers to scaling digital asset operations, particularly across multiple time zones spanning the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
