Corgi Insurance Debuts Sports and Entertainment Platform Golden
Corgi Insurance has launched Golden, a surplus lines platform targeting coverage for sports organizations, events, and entertainment venues.
San Francisco-based Corgi Insurance announced Tuesday the launch of Golden by Corgi, a new insurance platform built specifically for the sports and entertainment industry. The offering is delivered through the company's surplus lines carrier, positioning it to cover risks that standard insurance markets typically decline or underprice.
Golden is designed to serve a broad cross-section of the sports ecosystem, including organizations, live events, facilities, and the ancillary businesses that support them. Surplus lines insurance plays a specialized role in the U.S. market, allowing carriers to write coverage for complex or high-exposure risks without being bound by standard rate filings required of admitted carriers.

The announcement signals Corgi Insurance's strategic push into a sector that has seen rapid commercial growth, with stadium construction, media rights expansion, and large-scale live events driving demand for more sophisticated risk transfer solutions. By branding the product separately as Golden, the company appears to be targeting a distinct client base that requires specialized underwriting expertise rather than off-the-shelf commercial policies.
Corgi Insurance did not disclose premium volume targets, specific policy limits, or the states in which Golden is currently authorized to write business. The platform was announced effective September 30, 2026.
